Chicken

Free range chicken is an excellent all-rounder and a good introduction to raw. Powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Suitable for dogs suffering from any kind of inflammation of the skin or joints.

Turkey

Free range turkey including ground thigh bones. A popular choice for fussy eaters. Excellent poultry alternative with anti-inflammatory properties for dogs with known chicken allergies.

Lamb

Select lean cuts of grass fed Australian lamb. Rich in omega 3 (ALA) , Taurine and CLA. Improves immune function, bone mass and maintains lean muscle. Ideal for puppies alternated with chicken.

Roo

Roo is free range and organic. Containing only 2 % fat, Roo is rich in protein and CLA. Ideal recipe for overweight or obese dogs. Unsuitable for growing puppies, pregnant or lactating mothers.

Beef

Beef in Raw 4 Paws is sourced from grass fed cattle, is high in protein and a rich source of iron, taurine. Beef is an excellent choice for puppies and healthy very active dogs such as racing greyhounds.

Goat

Grass fed goat is an excellent low allergy alternative recipe to turkey for dogs with allergies. As there is no bone in the goat recipe it would also be useful for dogs who can’t metabolize bone or get constipated from bone content. Excellent choice for dogs with pancreatic issues.


Raw4 Paws Ingredients Guide

Fresh Meat

– Leaner cuts of Australian human grade meat is used. Free range meats are selected where possible. Each recipe only contains meat, bone and organs from the one protein source. All meat is sourced fresh only from Australian human consumption facilities. Turkey and chicken recipes contain ground bone but lamb beef and roo do not contain ground bone as these bones are too hard so calcium is added instead to balance these recipes. We do not use bone meal or bone powder in our recipes as these powders contain bones from mixed species but predominantly beef and as we are strict about single protein for allergy dogs we avoid any other bones

Cod Liver Oil

An ideal source of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, as well as naturally occurring fat soluble vitamins A and Vitamin D. Oil sourced from cold water fish is the only source of these long chain fatty acids EPA and DHA, a fragile fatty acid that dogs need for healthy functioning cells.

Kelp

Kelp is an excellent source of vitamin K, folate, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), pantothenic acid, iodine, calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, copper and zinc as well as being a source of Omega 3 & 6. It may aid in a healthy coat, colour and vitality.

Vegetables

10% of the recipe includes market fresh locally sourced produce including celery, spinach, and carrot. Loaded with natural real vitamins, minerals and live enzymes. Although fruit and veges are a lower priority for a wild carnivorous diet, they still play an important role for our domesticated dogs with regards to fibre for easy digestion and loaded with antioxidants required to help them deal with free radicals in the body caused by toxins in our environment. ie vaccination, chemicals in processed pet food, flea and tick treatment, shampoos, household cleaners, pesticides. These are all environmental poisons that their wild ancestors never had to worry about.

Fruit

Less than 5 % of the recipe is made up of fresh fruit including skins from apples and pears sourced at local markets. The skins are an excellent source of non-soluble fibre while the pulp provides the necessary soluble fibre. Perfectly balanced by nature for a healthy GI tract as well as rich in live enzymes, anti-oxidants and essential vitamins in their purest form.

Coconut Oil

A rich source of Medium Chain Triglycerides with anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Improves digestion and nutrient absorption. Regulates and balances insulin. Aids in arthritis or ligament problems. Reduces allergic reactions improving all skin conditions including yeast infections and hot spots. Helps with weight control. Eliminates bad breath and doggy odour.

Organic Chia Seeds

Chia Seeds Chia has 3 times the amount of Omega-3 fatty acids as salmon! Safe handling instruction

·         Raw meat products contain naturally occurring bacteria that could cause illness if mishandled. Wash working surfaces, utensils and hands with hot soapy water after each feeding.

·Treat as you would any raw meat product you prepare for your own consumption.

·Do not refreeze once thawed and do not microwave defrost or cook.

·A raw pet food diet will spoil if left unrefrigerated for an extended period of time.

·Excess food should be refrigerated for the next feeding or discarded.

·Food should be kept in freezer until removed for thawing.

·Once thawed product should be consumed within 4 days
